Number of Runs: Each competitor will receive six (6) total runs on each day of competition.  Only, the first four (4) runs (from each day) to be counted toward their individual "time" totals.  Each individual cone infraction will incur a "two-second" time penalty to be added for that particular timed run. Downed "pointer" cones will not be counted.

SOLO Shootout Runoffs Challenge:  The Solo Shootout Runoffs is a very unique and exciting event. It involves the cooperation and support of another competitor to try and win this special event. It consists of the following elements:

  • Each competitor will be given six (6) runs per day, with only the "first" four (4) runs to be attributed or counted towards their quickest time to be scored on the PAX Index for that particular day. The quickest time from each day (Sat & Sun) for competitor will then be added together for a total aggregiate score that will then be PAXED to determine their placement towards the final Shootout on Sunday.
  • The "Top Ten" PAXED competitors will then advance to the Shootout. Each competitor at this point, will then be matched up (to another competitor) according to their finishing position on the PAX.
  • The "Number One" Qualifier will teamed wit the "Number Ten" Qualifier. The "Number Two" Qualifier will be the "Number Nine" Qualifier and so forth and so on.
  • Once these "Five Teams" have been determined and selected; each team competitor will be given only one run in the Shootout portion of the event.
  • The total time from each team's combined score will then be PAXED together.
  • Each team's combined score will then determine their final placement as a "TEAM" for the Solo Shootout Awards. There will a trophy or an award given to each team member to take home.
Sounds like fun... you bet!!!

PAR Class Year-End Points:  Each competitor in the SOLO Shootout will accrue points towards their year-end score for each day of competion. Effectively, a driver has a chance to score points for two separate days of competion - each day will counted as one totally separate event.

Supplemental Rules

Mechanical Failures

A competitor must declare a "mechanical failure" before their particular scheduled run ( in their perspective group ) run starts. The competitor will then be given a "five-minute" mechanical allowance to correct the problem. If a mechancal failure is not declared to the Grid Marshal before their scheduled run, the competitor will then foreit that particular run and will not be given a "rerun".

Re-Runs

  1. If a competitor is "Red Flagged" for any reason during his/her run on the course, they must stop and then proceed slowly thru the rest of the course and will be granted a rerun after a minimum elapsed time of "five minutes" has transpired before their next run.
  2. If a competitor hits any cone after the finsh, their run will credited as a DNF. No rerun.
  3. If a competitor does stop at the end of their run after the finish lights, their run will scored as a DNF. No rerun.
  4. If a competitor does not stop ( during his/her run ) to point out a "Downed Cone" on the course that they did not hit, they will not be given a rerun.
  5. If a competitor hits a cone during his/her run ( before discovering a downed cone further out on course ) and immediately thereafter finds a "downed cone" that they did not hit and tries to receive a rerun in the process, they will not be granted a rerun.
  6. If timing and scoring finds a "timer malfunction" on a vehicle that is currently running out on couse, they must immediately contact the course workers to "red Flag" the car to stop. The vehicle in question will then be granted a rerun provided that they have complied with the red flag warning. If the red flag is totally ignored ( for any reason ) and the vehicle proceeds on course at "speed", the competitor will not be granted a rerun even though the time doesn't show or is incorrect. It will be scored as a DNF.
